Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 August 2026

LibanjeApp is a private family-history platform built privacy-first. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and the rights you have over it. It reflects our actual practices — we collect as little as possible and never sell your data.

Who we are

The data controller is Adeo Patapo (“we”). You can reach us at adeopatapo@gmail.com.

What we collect

How your data is isolated

Your family tree is private by default. Access is enforced in the database itself (row-level security), so no other user can read, change, or download your data — not merely hidden in the interface. Administrators can access data only to operate and support the service.

Why we process it

To provide the service (build and view your tree, downloads, notifications), to keep your account secure, and — with your consent — to understand aggregate usage.

Processors we use

Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time (see your rights). Aggregate analytics contain no personal data and are retained for trend reporting.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, a portable export, or deletion of your personal data. You can already export your own tree at any time from the Download center (JSON, CSV, PDF, or GEDCOM). To make any other request, email adeopatapo@gmail.com with “privacy request” in the subject.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, stored with per-user isolation, and protected by secure authentication and audit logging. See our approach in the Cookie Policy for tracking specifics.

Children

LibanjeApp is intended for adults preserving family history. Records about deceased or living relatives should only be added by an authorized family member.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
